FAQ

Q. Who should attend Weekly Wednesdays?

A. The “Weekly Wednesday” community nights are welcome to anyone who is either Discerning (meaning thinking seriously about and researching), Identifying (recognizes the likelihood and public about), or Diagnosed (gone through an official assessment process) Autistic as well as the Board of Directors, and Benefactors.

Q. What should one expect from a Weekly Wednesday community event?

A. Each Wednesday, we’ll carry on a basic format:

Our Father Prayer

Introductions (Optional to all participants)

Conversation (Topics TBD and announced prior to Introductions when chosen)

Hail Mary Prayer

End

Q. What if I just want to listen without being perceived?

A. Being perceived is a common lament among Autistic people. We know that being perceived, oftentimes means being judged if we’re not masked up properly. And so, anyone who chooses to participate in a Weekly Wednesday community event has the option to participate with a camera on/off, using the chat feature (especially those who are non-speaking), and joining for either some or part of the gathering or all of it, (show up when you like) and chat with anyone on the Zoom. Let’s be a community together!
